Participation involves risk
PixelPoly markets are prediction markets. A pick placed on a Price Block that does not become the Landing Block may not be returned, so you may lose your position amount. Only commit amounts you can afford to lose.
No guaranteed outcomes
Nothing in the PixelPoly interface is a promise of profit or a prediction of price. Percentages shown on blocks describe where the price has spent time, not the likelihood of a price landing there. Estimated returns depend on final pool sizes at settlement and change as picks arrive.
Review the rules before entering
Every market publishes its window, range, blocks, price source, and boundary rules before it opens. Review them. A signed pick is final for that window.
Price sources and settlement
Settlement depends on the reference price read at expiry. During Beta this is a public market API reading; oracle-based settlement is planned for production markets. Price feeds, networks, and smart contracts can fail, be delayed, or behave unexpectedly.
Beta
During the Beta, picks are signed messages stored off-chain and no funds move. On-chain settlement, payouts, and permissionless market creation begin when the PixelPoly contracts are deployed. Beta functionality, rules, and market parameters may change before then.
